About Iraldes "Vennie" Abreu

Licensed Clinical Social Worker | Trauma-Informed Therapist | U.S. Navy Veteran

Iraldes "Vennie" Abreu, LCSW

As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with more than 12 years of experience, I am passionate about helping individuals navigate life's challenges and move toward healing, growth, and lasting change. As a U.S. Navy veteran, I bring a unique understanding of the experiences and stressors faced by service members, veterans, and their families, and I am honored to support those who have served.

I specialize in working with individuals experiencing trauma, PTSD, substance use concerns, anxiety, depression, and major life transitions. My approach is rooted in trauma-informed care and tailored to each client's unique needs, strengths, and goals. As a bilingual clinician, I am committed to providing culturally responsive care in both English and Spanish, ensuring clients feel understood, respected, and supported throughout their therapeutic journey.

I believe therapy is most effective when built on a foundation of trust, collaboration, and genuine connection. My therapeutic style is warm, compassionate, and empowering, combining evidence-based approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), Narrative Therapy, mindfulness practices, and trauma-focused interventions. Together, we will identify challenges, build resilience, and develop practical tools to support meaningful and sustainable growth.

My goal is to create a safe, nonjudgmental space where you can explore your experiences openly and feel supported every step of the way. Whether you're processing trauma, navigating recovery, managing emotional challenges, or seeking greater balance and clarity in your life, you don't have to do it alone. I look forward to helping you build the skills and confidence needed to heal, thrive, and create the future you envision.
